Local Missions

 Local Missions

The Book of Common Prayer (1928) tells us that the bounden duty of all members of Jesus' church "is to follow Christ, to worship God every Sunday in his Church; and to work and pray and give for the spread of his kingdom" (p.291).

Over the past 6 years together we have been actively seeking to spread His kingdom into our local communities as we have delivered:

Over 15,000 sack lunches to day laborers and homeless

Over 2,000 Bags of Groceries to under-employed and low income families

Over 1,000 Bibles to children, new believers, and those suffering from addiction.

We are on the streets every Monday and Tuesday seeking to share the love of Jesus to all those around us delivering these resources, but we have also put together larger more targeted programs to reach specific needs as they arise including:

Providing Christmas to overlooked communities

Serving weekend meals to children on summer break

Teaching bible studies in local homeless camps.

All in all, our missions at St. Francis strive to stay true to the Saint we are named after: "preach by your deeds." If you have a passion to see our Lord glorified through local missions of mercy, please do not feel shy. We would love to be able serve with you, and answer any questions you may have. Get in Touch
